Ivy_Techno,

Instead of personal one-on-one questions I prefer to answer them in a forum like FoxForum.com or Foxite.com where several people can benefit from the answers, and your chances of getting solutions are better because there are lots of developers who can answer the questions.

Rick

I am very grateful I found your blog that I’m a Foxpro programmer and got to your blog searching my Foxpro solution. May I still get your advice for my Foxpro problems about multiple table indexes not working with seek command?

Hi BOb,

Thanks for the kind remarks.

I believe every penny spent on the space program is worth it. Research and development cost money and the things NASA has provided to earthlings because of the money spent has a high return on investment. To put it in perspective, we could run NASA at full throttle with a 20% bump in money for 28 years with the money thrown away on TARP *or* printed for the dreaded stimulus package that were passed by congress in a hurry up fashion.

The US Air Force has a reusable ship based on the X-37 that is still in development. It is unmanned and can stay in orbit for 270 days.

Commercial rockets will allegedly be used to put USA astronauts in low earth orbit. Personally I like the idea, but I am skeptical on the outcome. NASA will lose mindshare of rocket scientists and will be in bad shape if they decide they want to build and launch their own.

Rick

Rick,

Congrats on your experience. It is obvious how passionate you are about it.

BTW: Did you know that the space shuttle is pretty much a failure when it comes to the financial goals. While a "reusable" craft was built, in the long run it doesn't cost less for every launch. I'm pretty sure this is why they are scrubbing it.

What will replace it though? There were plans for a craft but I think those were canceled too.

Nice post too... you are a very talented writer.

BOb
